Social Energy

Conceived by the Minas Gerais Eletric Energy Company called CEMIG and Ramacrisna as a partner, the "Social Energy" project was formatted to provide professional education and a better quality of life to the young people who lives in the countryside and suburbs of Betim city.
The "Social Energy" project was created with the participation of the Rotary Kamloops West Canada, Rotary Club of Chase, Rotary Belo Horizonte / Pampulha and Rotary Betim. In addition, the project is also supported by institutions such as Eletro Betim, the Engineering, Architecture and Agronomy Regional Council of Betim - CREA Betim - Açovaz Trade and Industry, Gcmmel Eletrotécnica and Mecatron.

In April 2007, a group of 19 students started the course to become an Electrician, first cource offered by the "Social Energy" project, which has the participation of volunteers from Cemig, Rotary of Betim, Belo Horizonte and Ramacrisna.
By December 2009, 104 young people were trained and received the certificate granted by CEMIG and Ramacrisna in the Electrician and Installer course. After that the attendees got a great place in the market.
