Ramacrisna “String-band Chamber Orchestra

Conducted by Sebastian Francisco Barros, the Ramacrisna's String-band was created in June 2005 with the goal of bringing the classical music beauty to the children's and young people's reality. People from the periphery neighborhoods in the rural area of Betim.

With the project, 41 children and adolescents who was living in a personal and social risk inside the community and who was between 9 and 17 years old, attend music theory and practical classes.

The repertoire includes artists like Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Villa-Lobo, Roberto and Erasmo Carlos, among others.
