Smile Mission Project

Inaugurated in June 2006 the Dr. Expedito Martins Chumbinho Dentist Office is a part of the Smile Mission project. Its objecitve is to educate children and young people who are a member of the Ramacrisna Institute. This type of education involves the importance of hygiene habits, mouth and teeth care in order to value the healthy smile, also the mouth deseases prevention and treatment. The office assists the Ramacrisna's students, families and employees. The dream of the Dentist Office construction was only possible to come true because of the investment offered by Belgo Bekaert so that Ramacrista reformed the place, bought equipments and had a dental professional transferred to meet patients. This last benefit was provided by the Betim City Hall. The steel and wire industry also have committed to donate supplies for daily use in the dental office.

Warning Lectures regurlary take place involving children and adolescents and their families to strengthen the preventive actions for teeth care. "
